So, today was a very exciting day for Mr. and Ms. Cold 'Nole (I've been informed that Mrs. Cold 'Nole prefers Miss). We found some very delicious local eateries, one of which served reindeer sausage for breakfast. Oh yes, we ate reindeer. Mother-in-law Cold 'Nole still can't handle hearing "reindeer sausage" without gagging a little though, which has made for some fun conversation today. But don't let her reaction stop you because it was delicious.
Most of the day was filled with touring different apartment complexes and ranking them as we went along. Some places were better than others for sure, but we happened on a diamond in the rough. We stopped about halfway through the day at a little place called Alpine Meadows, which the modern style of the relatively new buildings made me blurt out I thought it looked like a prison. We met with a very nice leasing agent, told him what our price range was and set us up with a top level, corner unit with an amazing mountain view. We decided to go look at another place outside of town, and quickly decided we liked our mountain view at Alpine. When we made it back, a different agent was about to sign up a group of Iraqi foreign exchange students for OUR spot. Luckily, they don't take wads of cash, but rather, preferred the check Ms. Cold 'Nole quickly wrote instead. I love my wife!
More updates to come. Miss you guys already and we haven't even left yet!
Let me be the first to say I like your updates. It reminds me of my travels during my Air Force career. I would acquire an ensemble from each place of the country and foreign travels to create a unique home nest that I have today. You will definitely create memories to talk about forever. No one else can be a member of that club, they can only listen and dream.
